Integrated circuit developer AMD has completed a study on the divide between Internet users and non-Internet users and found that in some areas the gap is widening.
The company reported that there are gender divides in Germany and Italy while South Korea is experiencing an age divide. The US was observed to be falling behind other countries in Internet access and use while Japan has the most mobile Internet users and South Korea has the highest proportion of broadband connections.
The survey analysed Internet use in eight countries - the UK, US, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Italy, China and Mexico - over the past ten years.
