Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia announced on Monday (28 June) that its global developer programme Forum Nokia now had a total of 14 Nokia CDMA Series 40 developer platform compliant devices.

The 14 CDMA devices were compliant with Nokia's Series 40 Developer Platform, based on Java, browsing and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) and included adaptations specifically designed for the CDMA market.

With these standard enablers, developers could build applications for CDMA and GSM handsets without regard to network technology, according to Nokia.

Nokia said that by expanding its CDMA device support, Forum Nokia was increasing developers` addressable marketplace.
