SAN JOSE, Calif., Jul 08, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Cisco Systems of San Jose, Calif., said Thursday it has acquired privately held Parc Technologies of London. Under the terms of the agreement, Cisco will pay approximately $9 million in cash for all outstanding shares of Parc not already held by Cisco.
The deal is subject to various standard closing conditions and is expected to close in the first quarter of Cisco's fiscal year 2005.

Parc Technologies develops traffic engineering solutions and software for routing optimization.

Cisco Systems is a leader in networking for the Internet.
