How to clear the printer buffer in HP Deskjet 900 series

The HP deskjet 900 series printers if they start to act funny then you just unplug the printer let it sit for a minute and then plug it back in. There is no way to clear the documents from the memory in the 900 series printers. This I find out after a 20 minute long distance call with HP because it is not in their online manual.
