Whenever I log onto a route server to check the propagation of some routing entries out
of curiosity, the repetitiveness of adjacent class C network statements annoys me.
Unfortunately, when looking into the global BGP table, there are lots of organizations
who prefers to announce two /24s instead of a single /23, and four /24s instead of a /22.
They don’t really realize that it will cost memory & CPU resources on the routers
carrying the full Internet routes. There is no reason for those prefixes to be visible in the
global BGP table.
