Shadow in water effect

Here is a special effect that creates an effect similar to the shadow of an object in water. Select the objects using the Lasso Tool and copy and paste the selection-this creates another layer. In this layer, press [Ctrl] + [T] to bring in Free Transform selections. Right-click and select Flip Vertical from the options. Bring down this flipped image, keeping the [Shift] key pressed and dragging it. Now scale the image to a lesser width and decrease its opacity.

The hot wheels effect

In order to get the Hot Wheels effect, open a new Image in Greyscale mode with a black background and a white foreground. Now, create your type and rasterise it using Layer > Rasterize > Type. Create a copy of the layer by going to Layer > Duplicate Layer. In the dialog box that appears, change the destination to New. This will duplicate your text layer to a new document.
Now, go back to your original document and merge your text layer, with the background layer by pressing [Ctrl] + [E]. Go to Image > Rotate Canvas and choose 90 degrees CW. Go to Filter > Stylize > Wind, and make sure your chosen method is Wind, and that your direction is From the Left. Press [Ctrl] + [F] to run the same filter again with the same settings.
Go to Image > Rotate Canvas, choose 90 degrees CCW. Choose Filter > Stylize > Diffuse, and make sure it is set to Normal mode. Choose Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and enter the value as 2 pixels.
Now, go to Image > Mode and choose Indexed Color. Then go to Image > Mode > Color Table, and select Black Body.
Next, go to Image > Mode, and choose RGB.
Switch to the duplicate layer, and duplicate it further. In the dialog box, change your destination to the name of your main document-the one with the fire. The text layer will appear in exactly the same position as it was before the duplication.
Finally, press [D] to set your foreground colour to black, and then press [Shift] + [Alt] + [Backspace] to fill your text with black. Lastly, go to Filter > Distort and choose Ripple, set the amount as 27, and choose a large size. Click OK to complete the effect.

Batch Processing

Converting images to GIFs or JPEGs by the batch can save a lot of time. You can save your preferred settings in a droplet, and then apply it to any image or batch of images. To create a droplet, click on the Create droplet arrow on the Optimize palette and save the file. To process a file or folder, drag it onto the droplet icon from an Explorer window. The droplet will create copies of the original files in the same folder.
